My nieces, Umbria and Harper, are two little sprites with big imaginations (and, as you’ll see, appetites). Both four years old, Umbria lives in Shanghai and Harper in Abu Dhabi, so they hadn’t seen each other in person since pre-covid, when they were still babies. Now they’re full personalities, and also seasoned travelers in their own rights. Both have stayed in more hotels than I had by the time I was 25, and certainly nicer ones. Harper beat me to Austria, Umbria to Hainan.
When my mom, my brothers, their wives and kids came to Bangkok for a family reunion in January, Umbria and Harper kindly agreed to review the Capella hotel for our #TLKids series.
