The long-beloved Bellagio in Las Vegas just revealed renderings of the USD 110-million renovation of all the rooms and suites in its Spa Tower. According to a statement provided to Travel + Leisure, the hotel is set to deliver an updated look inspired by the beauty of Lake Como.
“Bellagio’s commitment to delivering unparalleled accommodations, experiences, and guest service for our discerning guests from around the world is the hallmark of our brand promise,” Ann Hoff, president and COO of Bellagio, said. “The Spa Tower’s beautiful and luxurious new suites and guest rooms will reinforce our position as one of the hospitality industry’s premier destinations.”

The Spa Tower redesign, which includes its 819 guest rooms and 104 suites, is slated for completion in October, but the first collection of renovated rooms will be available for stays starting this July.
The updated suites were designed in partnership with New York City-based Champalimaud Design. The new suites come decked out in calming, neutral, and earth tones, meant to mimic what the hotel calls the “natural vibrancy of Lake Como and the Alps.” And the design team really took this literally.
It chose the colour garnet to symbolise the “pomegranate found in the Mediterranean,” an azure blue inspired by the lakes, a dusty rose and jade hue to pull in the colours of the flora and fauna in the region, and the pale beige on the walls to feel just like you’re walking through the tiny villages in northern Italy. Meanwhile, the hallways outside the rooms provide a rich contrast, thanks to the deep midnight blue doors, highlighted by handmade Italian light fixtures.
In each suite, guests can relax on the plush sofas and chairs in the living areas, sprawl out on the soft beds, or just spend as much time as they want in the ultra-luxe bathrooms, which come complete with white marble surfaces and motion-sensor lights, so they won’t find themselves tripping into the bathroom in the middle of the night.
“We wanted to create a residential aesthetic with the timeless sense of luxury that is uniquely Bellagio,” Winston Kong, a partner at Champalimaud Design, said in a statement.
The updated Spa Tower guest rooms, created in partnership with the Chicago-based interior design firm The Gettys Group, offer similar soft touches, including pastel furnishings set off by those same neutral undertones found in the suites. Both the suites and rooms, the hotel shared, are meant to be a soothing respite from the noise found outside on the Strip — though guests can always catch a glimpse of the glittering Vegas lights just by pulling back their window curtains.
